In the Skeleton they had the Men’s Heats 1 and 2 . The Skeleton will continue tonight.

There has been a bit of a controversy in Ski Jumping. It is one of two sports under fire for biased or unfair judging. In the last Women’s competition a few of the athletes were disqualified for their outfits. More information can be found here. Five of the Women were disqualified over their jumpsuits. As far as I know this is a first in Ski Jumping. The Athletes definitely voiced their concerns. Since this hasn’t happened before and it is a large number of athletes that were disqualified, the athletes have accused the judges of intentionally eliminating competitors for bias reasons. I don’t follow the sport enough to know if this is the case. It would not surprise me. Unfortunately this isn’t an isolated incident to this sport. That’s what makes it more believable.
In Ski Jumping they had Men’s Large Hill Training. Ski Jumping will continue in the AM.

A lot to cover in snowboarding again. They had the Women’s Halfpipe final. They also had the Men’s Snowboard Cross competition. In the Women’s Halfpipe the United States Chloe Kim won gold. Spains Queralt Castellet won Silver. Japans Sena Tomita won bronze. In the Mens Snowboard Cross Austrias Alessandro Haemmerle won gold. Canadas Eliot Grondin won silver. Italys Omar Visintin won bronze. The United States came in second in the small final. Snowboarding continues tonight with the much antisipated Men’s Halfpipe Final. This will be Shaun Whites last competition ever.
