We are now 11 days into the XXIV Olympic Winter Games being held in Beijing China. There are 8 days left in the 2022 Olympics. Alpine Skiing, Biathlon, Bobsleigh, Cross-Country Skiing, Curling, Figure Skating, Ice Hockey, Nordic Combined, Skeleton, Ski Jumping, Snowboarding and Speed Skating took place. Medals were handed out for Biathlon, Cross-Country Skiing, Skeleton, Ski Jumping, Snowboarding and Speed Skating.
Alpine Skiing. They had the Women’s Downhill 1st Training. Alpine Skiing continues tonight.

Biathlon. They had the Men’s 10km Sprint. Norways Johannes Thingnes Boe won gold. Frances Quentin Fillon Maillet won silver. Norways Tarjei Boe won bronze. The United States came n 36th, 47th, 74th, and 83rd. The Biathlon will continue tonight.

There was more trining in Bobsleigh. Bobsleigh will continue tonight.

Cross-Country Skiing had the Women’s 4 x 5km Relay. ROC (Russia) won gold. Germany won silver. Sweden won bronze. The United Sates came in 6th. Cross-Country Skiing continues tonight.

In Curling there was more round robin matches for both the Men’s and Women’s competitions. Eleven matches were played. Sweden Leads the Men’s standings. They are the only team still undefeated in the Men’s competition. There is currently a 5 way tie for the fourth and final spot into the elimination round. In the Women’s competition Switzerland leads. The USA is tied for second. Curling continues tonight with 8 more matches.

Figure Skating. They had the Ice Dance Rhythm Dance. Figure skating continues on the 13th.

There is a lot to cover in Ice Hockey. If I don’t cover it all today in additional post, I will cover it tomorrow in those posts. There is a lot to cover. The USA played Canada. The Women’s tournament Semi-final matchups are set. Three out of the four teams in the Semi-finals will get medals. There are four games coming up tonight.

Skeleton. Women’s heats 3 and 4. Germanys Hanna Neise won gold. Australias Jaclyn Narracott won silver. Netherlands Kimberley Bos won bronze. The United States came in 6th. Nordic Combined Continues tonight.



Ski Jumping. They continued the Men’s Large Hill Individual competition. Norways Marius Lindvik won gold. Japans Royoyu Kobayashi won silver. Germanys Karl Geiger won bronze. Ski Jumping will continue in the AM.

Snowboard. In Snowboarding they had the Mixed Team Snowboard Cross competition. The United States won gold. Italy won silver. Canada won Bronze. Snowboarding continues tonight.


Speed Skating. Men’s 500m. Chinas Tingyu Gao won gold. Republic of Koreas Min Kyu Cha won silver. Japans Wataru Morishige won bronze. Speed Skating continues in the AM.

Germany is still in the lead with 8 gold medals. Norway is still in second with 8. the United States have moved up to third with 5 gold medals. Canada is still in 14th with 1 gold medal.
Norway now leads the overall with 17 total medals. Germany and Austria are tied for second with 14 total medals. The United States is tied for 6th. Canada is tied for 4th.
