We are now 19 days into the XXIV Olympic Winter Games being held in Beijing China. This was the last day of the 2022 Olympics. Alpine Skiing, Bobsleigh, Cross-Country Skiing, Curling, Ice Hockey and the Closing Ceremony happened. Medals were handed out for all events.
Alpine Skiing. In Alpine Skiing there was the Mixed Team Parallel. Austria won gold. Germany won silver. Norway won bronze. The United States Finished 4th. With that Alpine Skiing is done at the 2022 Olympics.
Bobsleigh. In Bobsleigh there was the 4-man heat 3 and 4. Germanys Francesco Friedrich won gold. Germanys Johannes Lochner won silver. Canadas Justin Kripps won bronze. The United States came in 10th and 13th. With that Bobsleigh has finished at the 2022 Olympics.
Cross-Country Skiing. In Cross-Country Skiing there was the Women’s 30km Mass Start Free. Norways Therese Johaug won gold. The United States Jessie Diggins won silver. Finlands Kerttu Niskanen won bronze. The United states also came in 6th, 15th and 18th. With that Cross-Country skiing comes to an end at the 2022 Olympics.
Curling. In Curling there was the Women’s gold medal match. That game was between Japan and Great Britain. Great Britain won the game 10-3. With that Great Britain won gold in Women’s curling. Japan won silver. Curling is now finished at the 2022 Olympics.
In Mixed Doubles, Italy won gold. Norway won silver. Sweden won bronze. USA came in 8th.
In Men’s, Sweden won gold. Great Britain won silver. Canada won bronze. USA came in 4th after winning gold in 2018.
In Women’s, Great Britain won gold. Japan won silver. Sweden won bronze. USA came in 6th.

Ice Hockey. The final hockey game of the 2022 Olympics. The Men’s gold medal game. Finland played ROC (Russia). Finland beat ROC (Russia) to win their first ever gold medal in Ice Hockey. I will do an in depth blog post about that later. Ice Hockey is now over at the 2022 Olympics.
Men’s Ice Hockey, Finland won gold. ROC (Russia) won silver. Slovakia won Bronze.
Women’s Ice Hockey, Canada won gold. USA won silver. Finland won bronze.

Norway won the medal count with 16 gold medals. Germany came in 2nd with 12 gold medals. China came in 3rd with 9 gold medals. The United States finished 4th with 8 gold medals. Canada finished in 11th with 4 gold medals.
Norway won the overall medal count with 37 medals. ROC (Russia) came in 2nd with 32 medals. Germany came in 3rd with 27 medals. Canada came in 4th with 26 medals. The United States came in 5th with 25 medals.
The United States won 25 total medals. 8 gold. 10 silver. 7 bronze. Canada won 26 total medals. 4 gold. 8 silver. 14 bronze.

The 2022 winter Olympics are now over. It’s been crazy and I have a few more posts planed to talk about it. The Winter Paralympics are coming up in march. I will cover those as well. The next Olympics are the 2022 Summer Olympics. Those will be held in Paris France. That will be the fourth time France has held the games. It will be the 100th year since they hosted the Summer Olympics in 1924. The Next Winter Olympics will be in 2026. Those will be in Milan Italy.
