The Jurassic Pucks scored the game’s opening goal six minutes into the game. They added to their lead with ten minutes left in the first period. At the end of the first period, Reno Pond Hockey went on the powerplay. The Jurassic Pucks took a 2-0 lead after the first period.

Reno Pond Hockey started the second period on the powerplay. They didn’t score on the powerplay. With eight minutes left in the second period, #40 Justin Farmer took a shot to the head. The puck hit him on the side of the head and went off his mask. He did get up and continued to play in net. Shortly after that Jurassic Pucks would score. The score was 3-0 after two periods.

Reno Pond Hockey did score in the third period. The puck was forced into the net after a wrap-around attempt. I don’t know the exact time of the goal because LiveBarn did not record most of the third period. The final score was 1-3 Jurassic Pucks.

Reno Pond Hockey drops their first game. They are 1-4-0 all-time now in season openers. There were a lot of positives from this game. Reno Pond Hockey was getting extended offensive zone times. They got a lot of shots. They were getting a lot of second and third opportunities. There are a lot of teaching points as well. The outlook after this game is pretty positive. This game comes down to the Jurassic Pucks goaltender having an amazing game. Reno Pond Hockey is going to move forward and improve.
