April Update

The final quarter of 2022 was great. I was getting out up to four posts a day. I was covering the FIFA World Cup. USA Soccer at the World Cup. I had the FIFA World Cup x Ice Hockey Concept going. I had started my current American Hockey League Concept. The Reno Ice Adult League Fall season was going on. I was doing power rankings and playoff posts for that. The Reno Ice Adult League Winter 2022/23 season had started. That meant a bunch of posts for the new season, new power rankings, and Reno Pond Hockey posts were back.

Heading into 2023 I was excited. I was also burnt out a little bit after the world cup. To be honest it was nonstop from September to the new year. Even if I was not getting out a post (which I try to do every day since 2021) I was working on something. Sometimes it takes up to eight to twelve hours to complete a blog or project. World Cup games were early in the Morning my time so I often stayed up or woke up early to catch them. I didn’t get a ton of sleep during the World Cup. That combined with the long hours to complete projects and not making a lot of money on here led to burnout. January came around and I was proud of myself for what I accomplished during the world cup but I found myself feeing tired and unmotivated. That led to a drop off in January. I wanted to keep it going but I put myself in a position where it was not really possible to continue at the rate I was going. I am doing everything on here by myself. I also am not making any money at the moment on here. I just don’t get enough views for ads to create enough revenue. Burnout actually happened a lot last year. It was on a smaller scale then what happened in January though. Sometimes I wake up after putting in a whole days work and I feel tired and unmotivated. I don’t want to say Money could solve that. At the same time I don’t know if it will. When I have a paying job and feel unmotivated the Money becomes a factor in doing it anyway. I am working on that anyway and trying to manage my work loads better. I think I did a good job in February and March of managing my work loads better. There was around sixteen days in a row where I was able to get posts out without feeling burnt out.

I am committed to this. It is growing. I think I will get there. Overall I am motivated to push this to become something great. I do have a vision and I am doing my best to accomplish my vision.

What happened in January? The RIAL Winter 2022/23 season was in full swing. All of the RIAL blogs and Reno Pond hockey blogs were going. The Sierra Inline Hockey League started back up. I got a few of the AHL concepts out. January saw the end of the Qatar 2022 Ice Hockey Concept. January also saw the return of the RIAL concept with the season one sim. It was not a bad month. There was a lot more I wanted to do that didn’t happen. That goes back to being burnt out.

What happened in February? I got out a lot more posts. I was doing up to four RIAL posts a week. I did a lot of AHL Concept posts. I did an ice hockey concept for the Super Bowl. I started season two of my RIAL Concept. I was really happy with how February turned out after being unmotivated in January. In February I just felt fresh and highly motivated.

What happened in March? March was more of the same. but the RIAL playoffs returned creating a boom. I had gotten posts out almost every day in March. The RIAL posts were doing really well. The RIAL Concept posts were doing well. Everything kind of went how I wanted and the stats were good.

In January 2023 I got nineteen posts out. That was thirteen less than in December 2022. That was a 59.37% drop off. There was a total of 741 views. That was 121 fewer views than in January 2022. It was also 172 fewer views than in December 2022. Despite not being what I wanted it was still the second-highest January in views.

In February 2023 I got twenty-eight posts out. That was nine more posts than in January 2023. That was a 147.36% increase in posts. There was a total of 1,067 views. That was 222 more views than in February 2022. It was also 326 more views than in January 2023. February 2023 saw an increase of 143.99% in views. February 2023 was also the first month since November 2020 to reach over 1,000 views.

In March 2023 I got forty-one posts out. That was thirteen more posts than in February 2023. That was a 146.42% increase in posts. There was a total of 1,392 views. That was 862 more views than in March 2022. It was also 263 more views than in February 2023. March 2023 saw an increase of 130.45% in views. March was the first month since November 2020 to get over 1.3k views. It was also the first month since September 2020 to get over 1,000 views in back-to-back months. This was the second-highest quarter in views ever. The first highest still being quarter three of 2020.

The AHL concept will continue throughout this quarter. It should finish in the next quarter. The RIAL Concept will continue this quarter. The RIAL power rankings will continue. The RIAL playoff posts will start up again this month. The RIAL playoffs will be in May. The NHL playoffs start this month. I do plan on covering those again. I am hoping to get the Reno Ice Olympics concept done in this quarter. After this quarter the NHL playoffs will finish up and the FIFA Women’s world cup sill start up. I am planing on covering that like I did with Qatar 2022. So daily recaps, covering the US Soccer, and an ice hockey crossover concept.
