The New York Rangers led their series with the New Jersey Devils after winning game one 5-1. The Rangers hammered the Devils in game one. The Devils would score the games opening goal. Erik Haula would score the games opening goal on the powerplay to give the Devils their first lead of the series. The Devils would have a 1-0 lead after the first period.

Chris Kreider would score again on a different powerplay to give the Rangers a two goal lead. Heading into the third period the score was 3-1 Rangers.

Patrick Kane scored to put the Rangers up by four goals. Kaapo Kaako scored to put the Rangers up by four goals. With 6′ minutes to go and down 5-1, Michael McLeod of the Devils put Braden Schneider into the boards. McLeod did not let up. This started a fight. It was a decent fight. Both players got some heavy punches in there. According to hockeyfights.com, Braden Schneider of the New York Rangers won the final. The final score was 5-1 Rangers. The Rangers now have a 2-0 series lead as the series heads to New York.

The Devils seem to be doing very little to stop the Rangers. The Rangers are doing whatever they want in this series right now. This was a lot more physical of a game with a combined 136 penalty minutes. The series will only get tougher for the Devils in New York. The onlt question right now is what are the Devils going to do in New York?

Game three will be on Saturday April 22nd at 5:00pm PST.

The Tampa Bay Lightning came into game two with a 1-0 series lead over the Toronto Maple Leafs after dominating game one 7-3. Heading into this game it looked like another round one exit was inevitable for the Toronto Maple Leafs. Mitchell Marner scored on the powerplay less than a minute into the game. His goal would put the Maple Leafs up 1-0. John Tavares would add to that lead. William Nylander would put the leafs up by the three. After the first period the Maple Leafs had a 3-0 lead.

Ian Cole would score the first goal for the Lightning. John Tavares would then score his scornd goal of the game. Zach Aston-Reese would then score for the Maple Leafs. Mitchell Marner would then score his second goal for the Maple Leafs. The Maple Leafs would have a 6-1 lead going into the third period.

About halfway through the third period, Tanner Jeannot (Tampa Bay) would drop the gloves against Luke Schenn (Toronto). It was a good fight. There was a couple of big blows with a lot of quick punches. I didn’t think there was a clear winner in that fight but according to hockeyfights.com, Luke Schenn of theToronto Maple Leafs won the fight. Corey Perry would then score for the Tampa Bay Lightning. Corey Perry would then get into a fight with Justin Holl. After a little bit of a scrum behind the Maple Leafs net they dropped the gloves. It was a quick fight. Holl got the fight started by Perry controlled the fight. According to hockeyfights.com, Corey Perry of the Tampa Bay Lightning won the fight basically no contest. John Tavares would net one more for the Maple Leafs on the powerplay to complete his hat trick. The final score was 7-2 Maple Leafs. The series is now tied at 1-1 as it shifts to Tampa Bay.

After the game the Tampa Bay Lightning had a long closed doors meeting in their locker room. I don’t know what was said in the meeting but that shows how series and upset the Lightning took the loss. After finally playing up to their potential the Maple Leafs are giving their fans some hope. This series could go either way at this point but I think the Maple Leafs will still have an early playoff exit.

Game three will be on Saturday April 22nd at 4:00pm PST.

Coming into game two the Winnipeg Jets had a 1-0 series lead over the Vegas Golden Knights after winning game one 5-1. The Jets would score the opening goal of game two. Chandler Stephenson would score to give the Golden Knights the lead. Mark Stone then scored to give the Golden Knights a two goal lead. Mark Stone would score again to put the game out of reach for the Jets. The final score was 5-2 Golden Knights. The series is now tied going into game three.

This was a big comeback win for Vegas. With the series now heading to Winnipeg it looks like it might go for seven games. This was the jets game to lose and they did. The Jets just didn’t show up in the third period. Game three looks like ti will be an exciting one.

Game three will be on Saturday April 22nd at 1:00pm PST.

Coming into game two the Seattle Kraken had a 1-0 series lead after beating the Colorado Avalanche in their first every playoff game 3-1. The Seattle Kraken would score the opening goal in game two. Justin Schultz goal would give the Kraken a 1-0 lead. Brandon Tanev would score short handed to expand the Krakens lead to two goals. The Kraken would have a 2-0 after the first period.

Artturi Lehkonen would score the first goal for the avalanche. Less than a minute later Valeri Nichushkin would score for the Avalanche to tie the game. The score was tied at 2-2 going into the third period.

Devon Toews would score the only goal in the third period. His goal would give the Avalanche the lead. The final score was 3-2 Avalanche. The series is now tied as it heads to Seattle.

Colorado came back with a big comeback win. With the way this series has gone I think game three could go either way. I don’t think either team has been able to get an edge in this series. They are playing very close. Seattle is fighting for it. Colorado is not playing like they want it right now.

Game three will be on Saturday April 22nd at 7:00pm PST.

Game threes starts today. The Carolina Hurricanes have a chance to take a 3-0 series lead over the New York Islanders. Will the Hurricanes continue to find ways to win? Do the Islanders have anything that will stop the Hurricanes?

The Boston Bruins vs Florida Panthers series is tied going into game three. While the Bruins played well the Panthers found ways to score. I expect a physical game tonight. Will the Bruins stop the Panthers? Will the Panthers offense carry over the momentum from game two?

The Dallas Stars vs Minnesota Wild series is tied. That series has been really close. Game three will probably be another one goal game.

The Edmonton Oilers vs Los Angeles Kings series is tied. Will the Oilers be able to keep a lead? Will the Kings claw their way to another win?
