There were four games in the Stanley Cup Playoffs last night. In the Eastern Conference the New York Rangers played the New Jersey Devils and the Tampa Bay Lightning played the Toronto Maple Leafs. In the Western Conference the Vegas Golden Knights played the Winnipeg Jets and the Seattle Kraken played the Colorado Avalanche.
The Stanley Cup Playoffs continue tonight with three more games.

The New York Rangers came into game four with a 2-1 series lead over the New Jersey Devils. Jack Hughes scored the first goal of the game to give the Devils the lead. The score was 1-0 Devils after the first period.
Neither team would score in the second period. The Devils still had a 1-0 lead going into the third period.
Vincent Trocheck scored for the Rangers early in the third period to tie the game. Jonas Siegenthaler would score to give the Devils the lead. Ondrej Palat scored late in the game to put the game out of reach for the Rangers. The final was 3-1 Devils. The Series is now tied 2-2.

Neither team has won a home game in this series. The Devils managed to get the series back even. After a strong start the Rangers have kind of fizzled out in this series. They will have to have a big response in game five.
Game five will be on Thursday April 27th at 4:30pm PST.

The Toronto Maple Leafs came into game four with a 2-1 series lead over the Tampa Bay Lightning. Alex Killorn score the games first goal on the powerplay. His goal gave the Lightning the lead. Mikhail Sergachev would give the Lightning a two goal lead. The Lightning lead 2-0 after the first period.
Noel Acciari score to get the Maple Leafs on the board. Seven Stamkos then scored to get the Lightning back up by two. Alex Killorn would score again to give the Lighting a three goal lead. The score was 4-1 going into the third period.
Austin Matthews scored to cut the lead back to two goals. Austin Matthews scored again to get the lead down to one goal. Morgan Rielly then scored for the Maple Leafs to tie the game. After three period the score was tied at 4-4. The game would go into overtime.
Alexander Kerffot scored on the powerplay in overtime to win the game for the Toronto Maple Leafs. The Maple Leafs now have a 3-1 series lead.

Big comeback for Toronto in this game. Tampa Bay fell apart in the third period. The Maple Leafs now have a chance to win this series with a game five victory. Will they do it? Will they finally win a playoff series? Or will they choke again?
Game five will be on Thursday April 27th at 4:00pm PST.

The Vegas Golden Knights came into game four with a 2-1 series lead over the Winnipeg Jets. Blake Wheeler scored the games opening goal on the powerplay to give the Jets the lead. Brett Howden scored for the Golden Knights to tie the game. After the first period the score was tied at 1-1.
William Karlsson scored for the Golden Knights. Then Ivan Barbashev scored to give the Golden Knights a two goal lead. Those goals were scored within a minute of each other. The score was 3-1 Golden Knights going into the third period.
Pierre-Luc Dubois scored early in the third period on the powerplay to get the Jets within one goal. Brett Howden scored his second goal with under 30 seconds to go in the game to put the Golden Knights back up by two goals. The final score was 4-2 Golden Knights. The Vegas Golden Knights now have a 3-1 series lead over the Winnipeg Jets.

Vegas has won both games in Winnipeg. So much for the Winnipeg Whiteout. Maybe if the Jets wore the white jerseys it might have worked. Vegas now has a chance to close out the series. Even if the Jets win game five I do not think they can come back in this series.
Game five will be on Thursday April 27th at 7:00pm PST.

The Colorado Avalanche came into game four with a 2-1 series lead over the Seattle Kraken. Will Borgen scored the first goal of the game. His goal gave the Kraken the lead. Daniel Sprong scored on the powerplay to give the Kraken a two goal lead. After the first period the score was 2-0 Kraken.
Mikko Rantanen scored the first goal for the Avalanche. He then scored the tying goal late in the second period on the powerplay. The score was 2-2 going into the third powerplay.
Neither team scored in the third period. The game went into overtime tied at 2-2.
Jordan Eberle scored the game winning goal on the powerplay in overtime to give the Seattle Kraken the victory. This series is now tied at 2-2.

This was the Seattle Krakens first ever Stanley Cup Playoffs win at home. This was a big win for Seattle. They heavily outshot Colorado. Who will win game five? There are two big storylines coming from this series right now. One of Colorados star Russian players was reported missing prior to yesterdays game. The other storyline is the hit Makar (Colorado) made on McCann (Seattle). The hit was after the play. McCann was injured on the play. Makar has been suspended as a result. Two of the top players in this series will be out for game five. I am fairly sure that the hit will cause violence in game five and six. I wouldn’t be surprised if someone from Seattle went after Makar in his return for game six.
Game five will be on Wednesday April 26th at 6:30pm PST.

Game fives start today. The Carolina Hurricanes are the only team who can win their series with a game five win today. The Carolina Hurricanes have a chance to eliminate the New York Islanders today. The Minnesota Wild and Dallas Stars are tied in their series. The winner tonight will have a chance to win the series in game six. The Los Angeles Kings and Edmonton Oilers are tied in their series. The winner of their game tonight will have the chance to win the series in game six.
