We are now twenty two days into the Stanley Cup Playoffs. There was only one game yesterday. Yesterdays game was game three of the Western Conference matchup between the Vegas Golden Knights and the Edmonton Oilers. There are two games today. In the Eastern Conference the Carolina Hurricanes play the New Jersey Devils. In the Western Conference the Dallas Stars play the Seattle Kraken.

Coming into game three of the Vegas Golden Knights and Edmonton Oilers series it was tied at one game a piece. The Golden Knights won game one 6-4. The Oilers won game two 5-1. Game three started off with an early goal from Warren Foegele. His goal gave the Oilers the lead. Jonathan Marchessault scored for the Golden Knights to tie the game. Jonathan Marchessault scored again with under a minute to go inn the period to give the Golden Knights the lead. After the first period the score was 2-1 Golden Knights.
Zac Whitecloud scored to give the Golden Knights a two goal lead. Jack Eichel scored to add to the Golden Knights lead. Chandler Stephenson scored for the Golden Knights. The score going into the third period was 5-1 Golden Knights.
Neither team scored in the third period. The final score was 5-1 Golden Knights. The Vegas Golden Knights now have a 2-1 series lead over the Edmonton Oilers.


Vegas was able to stop Edmonton’s offense in this one. After a close game one it has been a blowout win for Edmonton followed by a blow out win for Vegas. It doesn’t seem like either team is really getting a strong hold over the other team in this series. Can the Golden Knights continue to shut down the Oilers offense? How will the Oilers respond in game four? Will the Oilers the Oilers get their offense going again?
Game four will be on Wednesday, May 10th 2023. Puck drop is set for 7:00pm PST.



Round two game fours start today. The Carolina Hurricanes have a 2-1 series lead over the New Jersey Devils. The Hurricanes can put themselves in a position to win the series with a win today. Can the Hurricanes get back to their winning ways? Can the Devils keep the offense going?
The Seattle Kraken lead the Dallas Stars 2-1 in their series. The Kraken can put the Stars back against the wall with a win tonight. What will the Stars response be in game four? Will the Kraken be able to maintain the level of play they had in game three?


The Vegas Golden Knights, Carolina Hurricanes, Dallas Stars, Toronto Maple Leafs, Edmonton Oilers, Florida Panthers, Seattle Kraken, and New Jersey Devils have advanced to round two. The Winnipeg Jets, New York Islanders, Minnesota Wild, Tampa Bay Lightning, Los Angeles Kings, Boston Bruins, Colorado Avalanche, and New York Rangers have been eliminated.
The Vegas Golden Knights will play the Edmonton Oilers in round two. The Carolina Hurricanes will play the New Jersey Devils in round two. The Dallas Stars will play the Seattle Kraken in round two. The Toronto Maple Leafs will play the Florida Panthers in round two.
