Today is the tenth day of Conceptober. Today’s prompt is to create a diagonal wordmark jersey concept. The Carolina Hurricanes, the New Jersey Devils, the New York Rangers, and the Pittsburgh Penguins are the only teams in the National Hockey League that currently have a diagonal wordmark jersey. Diagonal wordmark jerseys have been in the NHL since 1926. They are a staple for a lot of teams like the New York Rangers who have almost exclusively have diagonal wordmark jerseys.
Again I used the Wheel of Names to pick a team for this concept. Excluded were the teams I already did concepts for during Conceptober. Those teams are the Florida Panthers, the Pittsburgh Penguins, the Calgary Flames, the Vancouver Canucks, the New York Islanders, the Winnipeg Jets, the Ottawa Senators, and the San Jose Sharks. The Toronto Maple Leafs won.

The Toronto Maple Leafs jersey is two shades of blue and white. The jersey is inspired by their current jerseys as well as their 2007-2010 jerseys and their 1970-1992 jerseys. On the front it says Toronto. It does not have any other logos on it.
