I am still super behind on Conceptober. I do have all of the concepts done now I just need to get them out. The prompt on the 25th was to create a jersey concept using a rejected team name. There are countless rejected team names as most teams receive thousands of submissions for what the team name should be. Often times if it comes to a vote the most popular name is not chosen. My favorite rejected team name is the St. Lous Lazer Snakes for Major League Soccer. The team decided to become St. Louis City Soccer Club. They could have had the best name in soccer but played it safe with something generic.
I used the wheel of names again to pick a team for this concept. I found sixty seven rejected National Hockey League names from around the internet. The winner ended up being the Nashville Rhinos. The Nashville Predators was chosen in favor of the Rhinos.
I kept the Nashville Predators colors and theming. The jersey is based on their current home jersey. The only difference in the jersey is that it is straight lines on the arms instead of curved ones. I replaced the sabertooth tiger head logo with a rhino head logo.
