The Reno Ice Adult League Winter 2023-24 Playoffs finished up yesterday. Yesterday was Championship Sunday. All three of the championship games were played back to back. Q & D Construction played Bangarang in the D-League Championship game. The Swift Institute played the Tahoe Storm in the B-League Championship game. Whiskey Dekes played the Mustangs in the A-League Championship game. The RIAL Spring 2024 season starts this week.
#1 Bangarang vs #2 Q & D Construction | D-League Championship
In the Reno Ice Adult League Winter 2023-24 D-League Championship game the number one seed Bangarang played the number two seed Q & D Construction. Bangarang won their only regular season meeting. Bangarang won three of their last five regular season games. Q & D Construction won all five of their last five regular season games. Bangarang won the E-League Championship in their last season. Q & D Construction were eliminated in the semifinals last season. Bangarang defeated the number four seed The Guardians 3-0 to advance to the D-League Championship game. Q & D Construction defeated the number three seed Trash Pandas 5-4 to advance to the championship game.
The final score was 4-3 Bangarang. Bangarang are the RIAL Winter 2023-24 D-League Champions. Q & D Construction have been eliminated from the playoffs. This is the first D-League Championship win for Bangarang. This is their fourth championship as a franchise. They also won three E-League Championships.

In the Reno Ice Adult League Winter 2023-24 B-League Championship game the number one seed Swift Institute played the number three seed Tahoe Storm. The Swift Institute won their only regular season meeting. The Swift Institute won all five of their last five regular season games. The Tahoe Storm won all five of their last five regular season games. The Swift Institute are defending B-League Champions. The Tahoe Storm did not make the playoffs last season. The Swift Institute defeated the number four seed Cruz Construction 2-0 to advance to the B-League Championship game. The Tahoe Storm defeated the number two seed Carson City Hyundai 4-1 to advance to the B-League Championship game.
It appears that this game was forfeited by the Tahoe Storm due to weather. I am not completely sure about that though. I do know that the A-League Championship was moved up into the 7:00 PM spot when this game was supposed to be played. There was a scrimmage with Swift Institute players after the A-League Championship game.
The Swift Institute won by forfeit. This is the first time an RIAL championship game has be decided by forfeit. The Swift Institute are the RIAL Winter 2023-24 B-League Champions. The Tahoe Storm have been eliminated from the playoffs. This is the Swift Institutes third B-League Championship win in a row.

In the Reno Ice Adult League Winter 2023-24 A-League Championship game the number three seed Mustangs played the number four seed Whiskey Dekes. This is the only championship game this season to not feature the regular season title winner. They split their regular season series with both teams winning one game. The Mustangs won three of their last five regular season games. Whiskey Dekes won two of their last five regular season games. The Mustangs were eliminated in the A-League Semifinals last season. Whiskey Dekes did not make the playoffs last season.The Mustangs defeated the number two seed Reno Gamblers 6-5 to advance to the A-League Championship game. Whiskey Dekes defeated the number one seed Doughboy’s Donuts! 7-3 to advance to the A-League Championship game.
This game was moved up from 8:30 PM to 7:00 PM after the B-League championship game was canceled. The final score was 6-3 Whiskey Dekes. Whiskey Dekes are the RIAL Winter 2023-24 A-League Champions. The Mustangs have been eliminated from the playoffs. This is the first time Whiskey Dekes have won the A-League Championship.

Doughboy’s Donuts! have won the RIAL Winter 2023-24 A-League regular season title. Did that with nine wins and eighteen points. This is the Doughboy’s Donuts! second A-League regular season title and third A-League regular title as a franchise.
