The Tahoe Knights Monsters just announced their opening night for their inageral season. It will be their first season as a team. They are are one of two new expansion teams for the 2024-25 ECHL season. This is big news. This is exciting news. Opening night for the Tahoe Knight Monsters will be on Thursday, October 24th, 2024. They did not announce who their opponent for opening night will be. I think it will likely be the Idaho Steelheads or Utah Grizzlies. The full Tahoe Knight Monsters 2025 -25 season schedule will be released tomorrow.
Tomorrow we will know the entire Tahoe Knight Monsters schedule. All seventy two games. All thirty six home games. All thirty six away games. We will also know what the new ECHL divisional alignment will look like. We know that the Tahoe Knight Monsters will play in the Western Conference. They are the west most ECHL team. We will also know what the rest of the league will look like. The ECHL of corse adding two expansion teams but also losing a team for next season. The Tahoe Knight Monsters have also not announced an NHL affiliate yet. All signs point to their affiliate being the Vegas Golden Knights. The Tahoe Knight Monsters have also not announced their jerseys yet. I do think that they will announce their affiliate before the NHL Draft on Friday, June 28th, 2024. That way they can hype up potential players coming to the team. I imagine the Knight Monsters will start signing players as soon as when the ECHL season ends. I think they will announce their jerseys some time after the NHL Draft. August or September would be a good time to reveal the jerseys. That would give people enough time to get the jerseys while not being so much time that the jersey lose their hype before the season starts.
