The Oilers are not letting off the gas. Meanwhile the Panthers have slowed down to a crawl. With even shots on net and neither team taking advantage on the powerplay, the Oilers were able to control this game. The Panthers goal scoring was non existent in this game. Everything in this series is going Edmontons way right now. They are getting the goals they want. They are getting the stops they need. Everyone on their roster is producing at an elite level. The Panthers are struggling to keep up. If the Oilers were playing like this in game one, the 2024 Stanley Cup Finals would already be over. The biggest change I have noticed on the Panthers side is their inability to shut down the Oilers offense. They did an amazing job in games one through three of shutting down the Oilers. They have been unable to contain the Oilers since game three. They shut McDavid down in this game but the Oilers still managed to put up five goals. On the other end the biggest change for the Oilers has not been their offensive production but rather their goaltending. Stuart Skinner has stepped it up to do his part to help turn this series around. The Oilers are the first team since 1945 to force a game seven in the Stanley Cup Finals after losing the first three games of the series. Now going into game seven in Florida, its winner take all. Either team can win. One team will walk away with the Stanley Cup.
