This is a huge game for the United States. I do not think there has been a bigger game for the men since the 2022 FIFA World Cup. This could be the first time since 2000 that the United States advanced to the knockout stage at the Olympics. That is going to put a lot of pressure on them. This would only be the fourth time overall that the United States would advance to the knockout stage in the men’s tournament at the Olympics. This is a big deal. Guinea can not be underestimated. They did hold France to one goal after majority of that game was tied. It will be interesting to see how this game plays out. Hopefully the United State can build on an early lead that they sustain throughout the match.
