Last night Reno Pond Hockey was scheduled to play Pure Luck. It was the fifth regular season Reno Ice Adult League E-League game for both teams. The game was delayed due to a scoreboard malfunction. After warm ups the buzzer would not stop. The buzzer continued to go off even when the scoreboard was turned off. Both teams went to the benches after warm ups. Both teams came back on the ice to skate around after a few minutes. Both teams were told to go back to the benches. Both teams ended up going back into the locker rooms. The issue was solved after about forty five minutes. Both teams came back onto the ice. With another game schedule within an hour, the decision was made by the RIAL management to reschedule the game. Both teams were allowed to participate in a roughly thirty minute scrimmage. An email was sent out this morning by the RIAL management with a rescheduled date and time.
