The Knight Monsters were coming off of a 3-4 shootout defeat to the Tulsa Oilers. The Tahoe Knight Monsters had a record of 5-3-2. The Knight Monsters were in 18th place in the ECHL. The Knight Monsters were 8th in the Western Conference and 5th in the Mountain Division. The Kansas City Mavericks are the ECHL affiliate of the Seattle Kraken. The Mavericks had played twelve games. The Mavericks were coming off of a 2-0 win over the Wichita Thunder. The Mavericks had a record of 8-3-1. The Mavericks were in 7th place in the ECHL. The Mavericks were in 4th place in the Western Conference and 2nd place in the Mountain Division.

The Kansas City Mavericks had played two more games. The Mavericks had three more wins. The Mavericks had the better points percentage. The Mavericks had scored thirteen more goals. The Mavericks had allowed three more goals. The Mavericks had the better goal differential. The Mavericks had five more points. The Tahoe Knight Monsters had 112 penalty minutes. On Sunday, Forward Simon Pinard and Forward Jett Jones were called up to the Henderson Silver Knights. The Tahoe Knight Monsters were without two of their top forwards for this game. On Tuesday, Forward Troy Loggins was activated, forward Adam Pitters was activated, and defender Ryan Orgel was activated. Defender ELijah Vilio and Froward Adam Robbins were placed on reserve. #33 Victor Ostman got the start in net for the Kansas City Mavericks. On Sunday, forward Andrew Coxhead was activated from reserve and defender Josh Thrower was placed on reserve by the Mavericks. On Wednesday, defender Josh Thrower was activvated from reserve and defender Jack McLaughlin was placed on reserve by the Mavericks.


Seven minutes into the game, #55 Chris Dodero of the Tahoe Knight Monsters received a penalty for hooking. Ten minutes into the game #49 Artur Cholach of the knight monsters received a penalty for high-sticking. Neither team scored in the first period. The score was tied at 0-0 going into the second period.

Five minutes into the second period, the Tahoe Knight Monsters took the lead. #19 Luke Adam scored the goal. His goal was assisted by #14 Patrick Newell and #28 Logan Nelson. Newell was tied up to the right of the goalie. He was able to get a pass off the Adam on the other side of the offensive zone. His shot was blocked by the goalie but still went in.
Seven minutes into the second period, #8 Luke Loheit of the Kansas City Mavericks took a penalty for high-sticking. Just after the powerplay, the Knight Monsters took a two goal lead. #26 Nate Kallen scored the goal. #48 Anthony Collins got the assist. On the rush, Kallen took a shot from the roulette wheel that went in.
With under four minutes left in the second period, Blake Christensen of the Knight Monsters received a penalty for interference. Right after that penalty the Tahoe Knight Monsters received a bench minor for too many men. The score was 2-0 Tahoe Knight Monsters going into the third period.

Two minutes into the third period, the Knight Monsters took a three goal lead. #48 Anthony Collins got the goal. #3 Adam Pitters got the assist. Collins made a play along the boards to help keep the puck in the offensive zone. Pitters got the puck along the boards. Collins got in position for a shot. Pitters was able to get the puck to Collins. Collins took his shot from just outside of the slot and scored.
With under eight minutes left in the game, the Kansas City Mavericks finally got on the board. #18 Damien Giroux scored the goal. #8 Luke Loheit and #3 Charlie Wright got the assists. Loheit passed the puck into the crease. Giroux crashed the net and was able to get his stick on the puck and score. The play did go to review but the goal stood.
With under six minutes left in the game, #49 Artur Cholach scored for the Knight Monsters to regain the three goal lead. His goal was assisted by #96 Brennan Kapcheck and #28 Logan Nelson. The Knight Monsters were cycling the puck in the offensive zone. Kapcheck took a shot from the point. His shot was saved. Cholach scored on the rebound.
The final score was 4-1 Knight Monsters.

It was a solid game by the Tahoe Knight Monsters. They continued to put pressure on the Kansas City Mavericks even after a scoreless first period. The Knight Monsters had some big saves in net. In the end the defense was on point to win this game.

The Kansas City Mavericks had five more shots. The Tahoe Knight Monsters had the better shot percentage. The Tahoe Knight Monsters had six more penalty minutes. #30 Jordan Papirny saved 32 shots for a 97% save percentage for the Knight Monsters.#33 Victor Ostman saved 24 shots for a 86% save percentage for the Mavericks.
