The Tahoe Knight Monsters have traded defender Elijah Vilio and forward Chris Dodero to the Cincinnati Cyclones in exchange for defender Matt Murphy. The Cincinnati Cyclones made several moves on Monday. The Cyclones are in last place in the ECHL, in the ECHL Western Conference, and the ECHL Western Conference Central Division. They made trades with the Kansas City Mavericks, the Worcester Railers, and the Tahoe Knight Monsters on Monday. They even loaned a player to the Iowa Wild to open up roster space. The Cyclones have only won three out of twenty one this season. They are now making moves to get things to improve on the ice. Time will tell if it works. Elijah Vilio scored zero goals and had four assists for a total of four points in fifteen games with the Knight Monsters. He had two penalty minutes and a +/- of +9. Chris Dodero scored three goals with three assists totaling in six point in fifteen games with the Knight Monsters. He had sixteen penalty minutes and a +/- of -5. I wish these guys luck in Cincinnati. Matt Murphy joins the Tahoe Knight Monsters after scoring two goals with six assists totaling in eight points in twenty games for the Cincinnati Cyclones. He had eight penalty minutes and a +/- of -7. Murphy played in the QMJHL and won the QMJHL and CHL in 2013. He brings AHL and Europe experience to the team as well. He also won the Kelly Cup in 2020 with the Fort Wayne Komets. Murphy is bring a lot of experience to the Knight Monsters.
