There was plenty of offense in the first period. Both teams scored three goals in a row. Things died down in the second period. The Tahoe Knight Monsters scored three unanswered goals in the third period to win the game. The last two goals with under two minutes left in the game pushed the Knight Monsters over the edge to win. The Knight Monsters let the Rapid City Rush come back into the game after going up by two. Two quick goals saw the Rush take the lead. They were able to maintain that lead for most of the game. The Knight monsters should have been able to hold onto their lead and build on it. They didn’t. They had to fight their way back to taking the lead in a game where they really should not have. The Knight Monsters did get their third win in a row and are now on a winning streak. The Rush were not able to bounce back after Saturdays loss despite coming close. The Knight Monsters were able to stay on top of the division with the win.
