Two minutes into the second period, the Tahoe Golden Monsters took a two goal lead. The goal was scored by #6 Aiden Girduckis. That was his first ECHL goal. His goal was assisted by #21 Sloan Stanick and #17 Adam Robbins.

With under five minutes left in the second period, Jacson van de Leest of the Adirondack Thunder received a penalty for boarding. Luke Adam of the Golden Monsters left the ice during the second period and did not return. The score was 2-0 Tahoe Golden Monsters heading into the third period.

Aiden Girduckis of the Tahoe Golden Monsters came onto the ice for the third period but left the ice before play started. He was helped off. He did not return. The Tahoe Golden Monsters were playing with fifteen players in the third period. Four minutes into the third period, the Adirondack Thunder scored to bring the lead back down to one goal. The goal was scored by #19 T.J. Friedmann. His goal was assisted by #43 Kishaun Gervais and #7 Adrien Bisson.

six minutes into the third period, Ryan Conroy of the Thunder received a penalty for slashing. With eight minutes left in the game, the Golden Monsters retook their two goal lead. #15 Jake McGrew scored the goal. His goal was assisted by #44 Jake Stevens.

Shortly after the goal, Bear Hughes of the Golden Monsters received a penalty for interference. With just under two minutes left in the game, the Thunder pulled their goalie. The Golden Monsters held onto their lead. The final score was 3-1 Tahoe Golden Monsters.

The Tahoe Golden Monsters took the lead in the first period. They expanded on it in the second period. They held onto it in the third period. It was a solid game from the Golden Monsters. They managed to shut down the Thunder in front of the net. The Thunder had a lot of issues finding the net with their shots. The Golden Monsters did not have a lot of sustained pressure on the Thunder. Two out of three of the Golden Monsters goals were scored on the rush. Injuries are now a concern. Can they continue to be successful with so many players hurt? The ice continues to be an issue. The Golden Monsters win one to snap their losing streak. The Adirondack Thunder did not get their third win in a row to get on a winning streak.
