Two minutes into the game, Anthony Collins of the Tahoe Knight Monsters received a penalty for fighting. Reid Perepeluk of the Allen Americans also received a penalty for fighting. Anthony Collins was pumping up the crowd after the fight. He was even trying to get the crowd pumped while in the penalty box.
Five minutes into the game Logan Nelson of the Knight Monsters received a penalty for tripping. Thirty seconds later Miko Matikka of the Americans received a penalty for slashing. Ten minutes into the game, the Knight Monsters took the lead. The goal was scored by #28 Logan Nelson. His goal was assisted by #9 Troy Loggins and #14 Patrick Newell.
With under seven minutes left in the first period, Mike Van Unen of the Americans received a penalty for holding. With thirty-eight seconds left in the period, an Allen player went down after taking a stick to the face. That player hit one of the Knight Monsters players with his stick multiple times up high before taking one up high and going down. The score was 1-0 Tahoe Knight Monsters after the first period.

Two minutes into the second period, Mike Van Unen of the Allen Americans received a penalty for tripping. On the powerplay, the Tahoe Knight Monsters took a two goal lead. The goal was scored by #19 Luke Adam. His goal was assisted by #9 Troy Loggins and #28 Logan Nelson.
With under two minutes to go Bear Hughes of the Knight Monsters received a penalty for tripping. On the penalty kill the Knight Monsters almost scored twice. They got a breakaway that hit the post. They almost scored on the following shot. With one second on the clock, goaltender Dylan Wells of the Americans received a penalty for tripping. The horn went off. Both teams had to come back on the ice to play the final second of the period. The score was 2-0 Knight Monsters going into the third period.

Forty-six seconds into the third period, Jake McGrew of the Tahoe Knight Monsters received a penalty for slashing. The Allen Americans would pull their goalie. They did score with the extra attacker with under three minutes left in the game. #91 Miko Matikka scored the goal. His goal was assisted by #23 J.C. Brassard and #2 Quinn Warmuth.
The final score was 2-1 Tahoe Knight Monsters.


The Tahoe Knight Monsters out played and out skated the Allen Americans almost the whole game. The only thing keeping the Americans in the game was their goalie. The Tahoe Knight Monsters are now on a winning streak. The Allen Americans have now lost their last three games in a row.
