It was the fifty-eighth game of the season. The Tahoe Knight Monsters were coming off of a 5-4 victory to the Rapid City Rush. The Tahoe Knight Monsters had a record of 33-20-4. The Knight Monsters were in 10th place in the ECHL. The Knight Monsters were 6th in the Western Conference and 3rd in the Mountain Division. The Rapid City Rush had played fifty-five games. On Friday, Defender Charles Martin and forward Trevor Janicke were assigned to the Rapid City Rush by the Calgary Wranglers. Forward Connor Mylymok was recalled by the Calgary Wranglers from the Rapid City Rush. Defender Charles Martin was placed on reserve by the Rush. Defender Aaron Hyman was placed on 3-day injured reserve by the Rush. On Saturday, defender Charles Martin was activated from reserve by the Rush. Defender Artyom Borshyov was placed on reserve by the Rush.

On the play Stanick was hit with an elbow. There was some pushing and shoving after the goal.

One minute into the second period, Bear Hughes of the Tahoe Knight Monsters received a penalty for roughing and Parker Bowman of the Rapid City Rush received a penalty for roughing. On this play it looked like there could have been a fight but neither player dropped the gloves. Two minutes into the second period, Deni Goure of the Rush received a penalty for holding. On the powerplay, the Knight Monsters scored. The goal was scored by Jett Jones. His goal was assisted by #13 Simon Pinard and #24 Isaac Johnson.
Seven minutes into the second period, Logan Nelson of the Knight Monsters received a penalty for slashing. With under nine minutes left in the second period, the Knight Monsters scored again. The goal was scored by #12 Bear Hughes. His goal was assisted by #21 Sloan Stanick and #96 Brennan Kapcheck. This goal gave the Knight Monsters a five goal lead. The goaltender came out of the net to try and clear the puck in what seemed like frustration with his defense.

Two minutes into the third period, Logan Nelson of the Knight Monsters received a penalty for slashing. Five minutes into the second period, Tyler Burnie of the Rapid City Rush received a penalty for slashing. On the powerplay, the Knight Monsters would score again. The goal was scored by #24 Isaac Johnson. His goal was assisted by #21 Sloan Stanick and #13 Simon Pinard. This goal gave the Knight Monsters a six goal lead.
Nine minutes into the third period, Sloan Stanick of the Knight Monsters received a penalty for high-sticking. Under thirty seconds later, Jake Stevens of the Knight Monsters received a penalty for tripping. With under seven minutes left in the game, Luke Adam of the Knight Monsters received a penalty for holding. With under five minutes left in the game, Billy Constantinou of the Rush received a penalty for slashing. With under three minuets left in the game, Slava Demin of the Knight Monsters received a penalty for slashing. The final score was 7-1 Tahoe Knight Monsters.


The Rapid City Rush scored first. The Tahoe Knight Monsters took the lead with two quick goals. They built on that lead a lot before the end of the end of the first period. They kept building on their lead in the second and third period. The Rush did not have an answer for the Knight Monsters. The Rush were not protecting in front of their net. The Knight Monsters took full advantage of that. Artur Cholach came back and had a big impact on this game going the way it did. The Knight Monsters offense is on fire right now. I hope they can keep this momentum going.

The The Rapid City Rush had one more shot.
