The Tahoe Knight Monsters were coming off of a 2-1 win over the Idaho Steelheads. The Knight Monsters had a record of 35-20-5. The Knight Monsters were in 8th place in the ECHL. The Knight Monsters were 4th in the Western Conference and 3rd in the Mountain Division. The Steelheads played fifty-eight games. The Idaho Steelheads were coming off of a 1-2 loss to the Tahoe Knight Monsters. The Steelheads had a record of 29-20-9. The Steelheads were in 15th place in the ECHL. Defender Jake Johnson and forward Adam Pitters were placed on reserve by the Knight Monsters. Defender Artur Cholach was placed on 3-day injured reserve. Defender Jordan Henderson was moved from 3-day injured reserve to 14-day injured reserve. #33 Ben Kraws got the start in net for the Idaho Steelheads. It was his twenty-ninth game played this season. On Saturday, Forward C.J. Walker was activated from reserve by the Steelheads. Defender Jason Horvath was placed on reserve by the Steelheads. Goaltender Brian Wilson was placed on 3-day injured reserve. Forward Ryan Foss was moved from 3-day injured reserve to 14-day injured reserve.


Two minutes into the game, Cade Alami of the Tahoe Knight Monsters received a penalty for tripping. Four minutes into the game, Isaac Johnson of the Tahoe Knight Monsters received a penalty for tripping. Nine minutes into the game, the Tahoe Knight Monsters took the lead. The first goal of the game was scored by #21 Sloan Stanick. His goal was assisted by #13 Simon Pinard and #12 Bear Hughes.
With under eight minutes left in the first period, Wade Murphy of the Idaho Steelheads received a penalty for hooking. With under a minute left in the first period, the Knight Monsters took a two goal lead. The goal was scored by #13 Simon Pinard. His goal was assisted by #12 Bear Hughes and #21 Sloan Stanick.

Six minutes into the second period, the Tahoe Knight Monaters took a three goal lead. The goal was scored by #19 Luke Adam. His goal was assisted by #15 Jake McGrew.
The score was 3-0 Tahoe Knight Monsters going into the third period.

Ten minutes into the third period, Trevor Zins of the Idaho Steelheads received a penalty for interference. With under six minutes left in the game, the Tahoe Knight Monsters took a four goal lead. The goal was scored by #48 Anthony Collins. His goal was unassisted.
With under two minutes left in the game, Ty Pelton-Bryce of the Steelheads received a penalty for cross-checking. With under a minute left in the game, Sloan Stanick of the Knight Monsters received a penalty for holding. The final score was 4-0 Tahoe Knight Monsters.


The Tahoe Knight Monsters scored first. They were able to build on that lead with a late first period goal. The Knight Monsters put the game away by taking a three goal lead in the second period. They put an exclamation point on the win when they took a four goal lead in the third period. It was a solid way to end this two game stint in Idaho. Jesper Vikman got the shutout. That is great to see. Overall the Knight Monsters won a close game on Friday and followed it up with a blowout on Saturday. This was an excellent trip to Idaho. The Knight Monsters are now 7-2-1 in their last ten games. They are doing a little bit better than they were in January and February.

The Idaho steelheads had nine more shots. The Knight Monsters had the better shot percentage Both teams had six penalty minutes. #1 Jesper Vikman saved 39 shots for a 100% save percentage for the Tahoe Knight Monsters. That was his first shutout this season. #33 Ben Kraws saved 26 shots for an 87% save percentage for the Idaho Steelheads.

It will be the first of back-to-back games in Tulsa at the BOK Center. The Knight Monsters have eleven games remaining in the regular season.
