With three minutes left in the period, Tahoe was called for roughing. At the same time, the Allen Americans were called for roughing. At the end of the period, Allen was called for roughing. The Tahoe Knight Monsters were leading the game 3-1 going into the third period.
Four minutes into the third period, the Allen Americans scored to bring the lead down to one goal. Midway through the third period, the Americans scored to tie the game. With under four minutes left in the game, Allen was called for high-sticking. The score was tied at 3-3 after regulation time. The game would go into overtime.
A minute into overtime, the Allen Americans were called for tripping. On the power play, the Tahoe Knight Monsters scored to win the game. The final score was 4-3, Tahoe Knight Monsters in overtime.
