With seven minutes left in the third period, the Rush were called for roughing. With three minutes left in the third period, the Rush were called for tripping. The third period ended with the game tied at 3-3. The game would go into overtime.
Two minutes into overtime, the Rapid City Rush scored to win the game. The final score was 4-3, Rapid City Rush.
