This is the first of several updates I will be doing. For those who don’t know project Warhawk is a Nerf loadout I am building. You can check out the first post here. In this post I want to give an update as to how far I have gotten so far with this project. I will also be talking about some changes I am making. Then I will address some of the concerns people had with this loadout.
What I Have So Far
I already had some of the blasters and tactical gear before I made my last post. I have all of the blasters to make the Snek loadout. The Adventure Force Nexus Pro restocked at my local Walmart right after I made the first post. I have it and I am pleased with the way it preforms out of the box. I did have some issues using cheap magazines with the blaster. The waffle darts that I use jam or won’t load the blaster properly. Sometimes this causes the blaster to jam. When I am not using those mags the blaster never jams. jams are also really easy to clear out as well. I am pleased with how the the Nerf Rival Saturn and Nerf Rival Knockout preform out of the box. I have had no issues with either of those blasters. I picked up two Nerf Mega Bigshock’s at a thrift store over a year ago. The only issue I have had with those blasters is their underwhelming performance.

As far as tactical gear goes, I have a vest, gloves, a tactical hat, belt, dump pouch, and general-purpose pouch. The vest that I have been using for over a year now is just a cheap airsoft vest I got off Amazon. I have been looking to upgrade it. I am not too concerned about tactical gear yet. I want to get my blasters modified and painted first.

Mods And Changes
I am going to be ordering mods for the Nexus Pro by the end of this week. When I get the mods I will make videos about how it shoots. Ill post those videos in the next update.

I found out after I posted the project announcement that the pump grip can be replaced. From what I understand it can be replaced by any grip that attaches to a rail. So I am going to replace the grip with a Bipod Vertical Grip for that sweet sniper action. I still don’t know what stock I want to get. I know I want it to be cheap because I am just going to paint it. I am considering the APS RS-1 Retractable Stock for M4/M16 Airsoft AEGs that’s on Evike. It has a good price and and kind of looks futuristic. I did find a 3d printed piece that attaches a rail to the side of the Nexus Pro. I will be getting that so I can have side rails. I will also be getting a red dot sight and a PEQ unit for my blaster.

Addressing Comments
The biggest concern people had with my loadout is that it does not currently include any high rate of fire blasters. I understand how that can be an issue. Particularly with humans vs zombies games. I am not going to add any high rate of fire blasters to this load out for now. If I was going to add a high rate of fire blaster it would probably be one of the following; A modified Nerf Stryfe with a Scar kit, a Worker Dominator, a modified Nerf Rapidstrike, a Nerf Rival Perses or a Nerf Rival Nemesis.
