Review

Cruz Construction had a 4-0 lead after the first period. The second period ended in 9-1 Cruz Construction lead. Reno Pond Hockey managed to get 3 goals in the third period but that wasn’t enough.

Cruz Construction played hard in the first two periods but slowed down in the third. They probably could have put up another 5 or 6 but they didn’t. Reno Pond Hockey was playing with nine players. The short bench made it even harder just to stay in the game. When Cruz Construction slowed down that’s when Reno Pond Hockey got a few. Looking for some positives from this one, we were able to keep them out of our net in the third. We were also able to score 4 goals which is four more then the last time we played them.

Games like this are hard. The game itself is hard but the mental game that comes along with losing like this can be even harder. I know I was pretty upset after the game. I had nothing but negative thoughts after the game. I don’t want to be like that but it’s hard. Losses like that are hard to come out of with a positive mindset. I sometimes wish I could walk away from a game without caring about the outcome. I can’t though. I care too much. Today is new day though. Our last game is behind us. It no longer matters. We should be focusing on our next game. Doing that is the best way to get over a game like this.

It’s tough with 9 guys. We would have done better with more players. The important part now is to focus on our next game.
