The Vegas Golden Knights and their affiliates are making history in the 2025–26 season, as all three organizations have officially reached the postseason. It marks a major milestone not just for the franchise, but for hockey across the state of Nevada. At the top level, the Golden Knights of the National Hockey League clinched a spot in the Stanley Cup Playoffs after capturing the Pacific Division regular season title. Vegas finished with a 39–26–17 record, totaling 95 points, and will face the Utah Mammoth in the opening round.
In the American Hockey League, the Henderson Silver Knights secured their postseason berth after finishing third in the Pacific Division with a 39–21–12 record and 90 points. They are set to take on the San Jose Barracuda, the affiliate of the San Jose Sharks, in their playoff run.
Meanwhile, in the ECHL, the Tahoe Knight Monsters earned a spot in the Kelly Cup Playoffs by finishing fourth in the Mountain Division. The Knight Monsters posted a 35–30–4 record for 77 points and will face the Kansas City Mavericks, an affiliate of the Seattle Kraken, in the first round.
This achievement represents a significant moment for ice hockey in Nevada. For the first time in history, all three teams (the NHL club and both its AHL and ECHL affiliates) are competing in the playoffs during the same season. It is also the first time since 2021 that the Golden Knights and both of their affiliates have reached the postseason together. Historically, this level of organizational success has been rare. There have been three instances where Vegas and both of their affiliates qualified for the playoffs. There has been one season in which Vegas and its AHL affiliate reached the postseason while the ECHL affiliate did not. On two occasions, Vegas and its ECHL affiliate made the playoffs without the AHL team. There have also been two seasons where only the Golden Knights reached the postseason, with neither affiliate qualifying. Conversely, there has been one instance where Vegas missed the playoffs, but both affiliates advanced.
The postseason schedule is set, with the Golden Knights beginning their Stanley Cup Playoff run on Sunday, April 10th. The Silver Knights will open their Calder Cup Playoff campaign on Wednesday, April 22nd, while the Knight Monsters will begin their Kelly Cup Playoff journey on Friday, April 24th.
