The Henderson Silver Knights are getting ready for the 2026-27 American Hockey League season, and the road to the regular season begins with two preseason games in September. With the AHL regular season set to begin in October, Henderson will use its two preseason matchups to prepare for another season of professional hockey. Both of the Silver Knights’ preseason games will take place in Tucson, Arizona, giving the team an early opportunity to evaluate its roster and build momentum before the regular season officially gets underway. The first preseason game is scheduled for Saturday, September 26, 2026, when the Henderson Silver Knights will take on the Tucson Roadrunners. The matchup gives Henderson a chance to face a familiar AHL opponent while beginning preparations for the upcoming regular season. The Silver Knights will then play their second and final preseason game on Sunday, September 27, 2026, against the Colorado Eagles. Playing two games on consecutive days should give Henderson another valuable opportunity to evaluate players, develop chemistry, and prepare for the pace of the 2026-27 AHL season. After the two preseason games in Tucson, the Silver Knights will turn their attention toward the start of the regular season. Henderson will open the 2026-27 AHL regular season at home on Saturday, October 3, 2026, against the Bakersfield Condors. The home opener will officially begin another season of Silver Knights hockey and give Henderson its first chance to compete in a meaningful regular-season game in front of its home fans. For Silver Knights fans following the team throughout the preseason and regular season, the September games in Tucson will be the first look at the team before the action returns to Henderson in October.
