We are now nine weeks into the Reno Ice Adult League Spring 2023 regular season. Every team has under three games remaining. Two teams in the A-League have clinched playoff births while none have been eliminated. In the B-League only one team has secured a playoff spot while two teams have been eliminated. In the C-League none of the teams have secured playoff spots while one team has been eliminated. In the D-League the playoffs are almost set. Four teams have secured playoff spots while four teams have been eliminated. In the E-League two teams have secured playoff spots while one team has been eliminated.
No one has secured a RIAL Spring 2023 regular season title yet.

In the A-League, the Doughboy’s Donuts! and the Mustangs have secured playoff spots. They have not reached five wins yet but since the GBB Tooth Fairies can not reach five wins they can not be eliminated from the playoffs. None of the A-League teams have been eliminated yet. The A-League teams have between three and four games remaining in the regular season.
With the threshold to get into the A-League playoffs now at five wins instead of six, the Reno Gamblers are only one win away from securing a playoff spot. The Whiskey Dekes are three wins away from securing a playoff spot. They would have to win all three of their remaining games to reach five wins. The GBB Tooth Fairies can not get five wins but could still be in the playoffs.
The Whiskey Dekes are only three point into the final playoff spot. The GBB Tooth Fairies would have to win one game and lose in a shootout to tie for the last playoff spot. They could make the playoffs if they win all three of their remaining games. If the GBB Tooth Fairies lose one more game the Reno Gamblers will secure the third playoff spot. A GBB Tooth Fairies loss and a Whiskey Dekes win would eliminate the GBB Tooth Fairies from the playoffs and Whiskey Dekes would secure the final A-League playoff spot.
If the playoffs started today the Doughboy’s Donuts! would play Whiskey Dekes in the semifinals. The other semifinal matchup would be the Mustangs and the Reno Gamblers.

In the A-League, the Doughboy’s Donuts! lead the regular season title race. The Mustangs are tied on points with the Doughboy’s Donuts! but the Doughboy’s Donuts! have a game on them. The Reno Gamblers are only behind by two points (one win). Whiskey Dekes are behind by four points (two wins). The GBB Tooth Fairies are out of the A-League regular season title race.

In the B-League, the Swift Institute are the only team to have secured a playoff spot so far. In the B-League, 4 Seasons and the Murder Hornets have been eliminated from playoff contention. In the B-League teams have between two and three games remaining.
Cruz Construction, Silver State Wire, and Carson City Hyundai are one win away from securing playoff spots. The Reno Fire Hosers B, and the Tahoe Storm are all two wins away from securing playoff spots.
Cruz Construction, Silver State Wire, and Carson City Hyundai are all tied with ten points. One of those teams will make the playoffs. All three of them still have a chance at being eliminated from playoff contention. Cruz Construction and Silver State Wire just need to win one of their three remaining games to make the playoffs. Forcing two of their three games to shootouts will also secure playoff spots. Carson City Hyundai has two games remaining. They need to win one or have both go to a shootout for them to secure a playoff spot. They would only have five wins but they have two shootout losses which combined is the same as a single win. If the Reno Fire Hosers B win two of their remaining three games or win one game and force a shootout they will secure a playoff spot. They are only one point out of the last playoff spot but one win or a shootout loss could put them in a playoff spot. The Tahoe Storm would have to win both of their remaining games to secure a playoff spot. A single win could put them in a playoff position. They have to win at least one game to have a chance.

In the C-League, none of the teams have secured a playoff spot yet. The Pale Ales have been eliminated from playoff contention. In the C-League teams have one to three games remaining.
Blue Moon is one win or one shootout loss from securing a playoff spot. The Desert Dogs, Black Ox, and the United Skates are all one win away from securing a playoff spot. The Slappy Gilmores are one win and a shootout loss away from securing a playoff spot.
Three of the teams that are in a playoff spot now will make the playoffs. The Slappy Gilmores are only one point (a shootout loss) from tying for the last playoff spot. If they win one of their remaining three games they would be in a playoff spot as things stand right now. In fact the the C-League playoff race is so tight that the Slappy Gilmores are only one win away from tying for first place even though they are not in a playoff spot. The United Skates only have one game left. If they do not win they will not secure a playoff spot. They will have to wait on other results to see if they made the playoffs. If they fall out of a playoff spot after their last game they will be out of the playoffs.
If the playoffs started today Blue Moon would play the United Skates in the semifinals. The other semifinal matchup would be the Desert Dogs and Black Ox.

In the C-League, Blue Moon lead the regular season title race with eleven points (5 wins and a shootout loss). They only have a one point lead. The Desert Dogs, Black Ox, and the United Skates are only behind by one point (a shootout loss). The Slappy Gilmores are behind by two points (one win). The C-League regular season title is very much so still up for grabs. The Pale Ales are no longer in the regular season title race.

In the D-League the playoffs are almost set. Reno Pond Hockey, The Guardians, Mid-Ice Crisis and the Jurassic Pucks have secured playoff spots. Q & D Construction, the Nevada Police Foundation, the Grrrowlers, and the Reno Fire Hosers D have been eliminated from playoff contention. In the D-League teams have one or two games remaining.
The Jurassic Pucks only have five wins but their one shootout loss has put them too far ahead of fifth place for them to be eliminated. The Jurassic Pucks have eleven points while the Reno Fire Hosers D and the Grrrowlers have eight points. The Reno Fire Hosers D and the Grrrowlers only have one game remaining so they can get up to ten points.
If the playoffs started today Reno Pond Hockey would play the Jurassic Pucks in the semifinals. The other semifinal matchup would be The Guardians and Mid-Ice Crisis.

In the D-League, Reno Pond Hockey lead the regular season title race. They lead with sixteen points (eight wins). The Guardians are behind by three points (a win and a shootout loss). Mid-Ice Crisis are behind by four points (two wins). The other five teams are out of the regular season title race. If Reno Pond Hockey wins one more game they will win the D-League regular season title for the second season in a row. The Guardians would have to win both of their remaining games to have a shot at the regular season title. Mid-Ice Crisis would have to win both of their remaining games just to have a shot at tying for fist place.

In the E-League, Bangarang and the Trash Pandas have secured playoff spots. The Holy Pucks have been eliminated from playoff contention. In the E-League teams have one or two games remaining.
Satan’s Gatekeepers are one win from securing a playoff spot. Long Drink is one win away from securing a playoff spot. Battle Born are not able to secure a playoff spot but can still make the playoffs.
Satan’s Gatekeepers need to win their final game of the season to secure their playoff spot. If they don’t they will have to wait on other game results to know if they will make the playoffs. If Battle Born loses one of their remaining two games, Satan’s Gatekeepers will make the playoffs. Long Drink have two games to win one or lose both in a shootout to secure their playoff spot. If they win a game of lose in a shootout and Battle Born loses one of their remaining games, Long Drink will make they playoffs. If Long Drink does not win either of their remaining games they will have to wait on other game results to know if they made the playoffs. Battle Born has to win one of their last two game with the other game at least going to a shootout to keep their playoff hopes alive. Even if they win both games though, they could still be eliminated from the playoffs.
If the playoffs started today the Trash Pandas would play Long Drink in the semifinals. The other semifinal matchup would be Bangarang and Satan’s Gatekeepers.

In the E-League, the Trash Pandas lead the regular season title race. They lead with fourteen points (seven wins). Bangarang are only behind by one point. Long Drink are four points (two wins) behind. Satan’s Gatekeepers, Battle Born, and the Holy Pucks are out of the regular season title race. If the Trash Pandas win one of their lat two games they will secure first place. Bangarang has to win their final game to have a chance at the regular season title. Long Drink has to win both of their remaining games with the Trash Pandas and Bangarang losing their remaining games to have a shot at the regular season title.
