Up next in the Reno Ice Adult League concept is the Murder Hornets. For this concept the Murder Hornets were founded in 2021. That makes them a new team.

For this concept the Murder Hornets play in the Sparks Division of B-League along with Desert Dogs, Hot Shots and Slappy Gilmores.

The Murder Hornets colors are black, yellow and white. Their primary logo has a hornet in front of a hexagon. The hexagon is a basic shape found in hornet nests. On the front of the logo is the team name. Underneath the team name is 2021 in Roman numerals. I was trying to create a modern look for the Murder Hornets. Their branding was inspired by the Charlotte/New Orleans/Oklahoma City Hornets, the Pittsburgh Penguins, and the Hamilton Tigers.

Murder Hornets Alternate Logos

The Murder Hornets don’t have a secondary logo. The first logo on the top row is the hornet from the primary logo. The second logo on the top row is the hornet head from the hornet used in the primary logo. The third logo in the top row is the primary logo with the hornet replaced with just the hornet head. The last three logos are Murder Hornets word mark logos.

The first two logos on the second row from the top are silhouettes of the hornet logo. The third logo on the second row from the top is the hornet logo in front of a hexagon. The last logo in this row is a hexagon shaped Murder Hornets word mark logo.

The logos on the second row from the bottom are all logos designed for the Surge jersey. The first two logos are detailed hornets logos. They are inspired by bug diagrams and direct pinning. The other two logos are MH abbreviation word mark logos.

The first set of logos on the bottom row are alternate retro logos. Being a new team for 2021 the Murder Hornets do not have any throwback logos. An alternate logo set was created to look like throwback logos. Alternate colors were chosen to go along with the logo set. The first logo on the bottom row acts as the retro primary logo. It has a hornet in front of a hexagon with the team name below it. The next logo is the same without the team name. The third logo is the retro hornet logo. The next logo is MH inside of a hexagon. The final logo in the alternate retro set has an MH with the retro hornet in back and white in front of it. On the bottom of the logo is the team name.

The last two logos in the bottom row were created for the City jersey. The first of these two logos is Sparks NV inside of a highway sign shield. The other logo is just the interstate 80 logo.

The 3RD jersey is white, black and yellow. On the front of the jersey is the main wordmark logo. Player numbers are on the front of the jersey underneath the wordmark logo as well. On the shoulders are the hornet head logos.

The Surge jersey is yellow and black. It has a similar pattern to the Dark/Light jersey. Inside of the stripes on the sleeves is a hexagon pattern. On the front is the alternate hornet logo made for the Surge jersey. On the Shoulders is the MH alternate logos designed for the Surge jersey.
