It’s finally time to recap the first season of this concept. This will be part one of my recap. For this part, I will be focusing on team logos. In the next part, I will be focusing on the jerseys. Everything in this post is part of my Reno Ice Adult League concept series.
This concept is still in the first season (summer 2021). Everything in this post relates to that. If I have not done a concept for a team yet, It will be coming in a future season.
Primary Logos

Miller Lite – The logo for Miller Lite is the same as the primary logo for the beer for this concept.
The Mustangs – The logo for the Mustangs is a horseshoe with the team name in front of it.
Reno Gamblers – The Reno Gamblers logo starts with a poker chip in the background. The team name in front of the poker chip. There are dice below the team name.
RT Janitorial – The RT Janitorial primary logo has a triangle in the background, a rhino head in front of the triangle, and the team name at the top.
Swamp Donkeys – The Swamp Donkeys logo is a moose head. Underneath the moose head is a banner that has the team name.
Whisky Dekes – The Whisky Dekes logo is a whisky barrel with a deer head and the team name. The deer head is somewhat minimalistic. There are hockey sticks hidden in the logo.
Blue Moon – The Blue Moon logo is the current logo that Blue Moon Brewing Company uses.
Coors Banquet – The logos, and branding of Coors Banquet are the same as the beer.
Coors Light – The logos, and branding of Coors Light are the same as the beer.
Hop Valley – The logos, and branding of Hop Valley are the same as the beer.
Doughboys – The Doughboys logo is a circle. There is a black ring with the Dough Boys Donuts logo inside. That’s followed by a red ring and a grey ring. Inside of the grey ring is the text Doughboys Hockey Club in gold. There is another red ring outside of the grey ring.
Q&D Construction – The logo for Q&D Construction comes from the company. The logo is a QD with the name underneath it. At the bottom is the established year.
Reno Pond Hockey – The Reno Pond Hockey branding is based on the Reno flag.
Reno Sriracha – The Reno Sriracha logo is designed after the Huy Fong Foods logo. At the top is the team name. in the middle is the rooster. On the bottom, it has the Chinese characters for ice hockey. I added the Chinese characters as they are on the bottom of the Huy Fong Foods logo, the Sriracha logo, and the Sriracha bottle.
Cruz Construction – The Cruz Construction logo is a green monogram consisting of two C’s. The C’s stand for Cruz Construction.
Mid-Ice Crisis – The Mid-Ice Crisis logo is a fox head.
Tahoe Dawgs – The Tahoe Dawgs logo is a Saint Barnard head.
Tahoe Storm – The Tahoe Storm primary logo is a wordmark logo.
Desert Dogs – The Desert Dogs logo is a coyote head with the team name underneath it.
Hot Shots – The Hot Shots logo is a circle. Inside of the circle is the team name above a flaming shot glass. That is in front of some mountains. The league name is at the bottom of the logo.
Murder Hornets – The Murder Hornets logo is a hornet in front of a hexagon. The hexagon is a basic shape found in hornet nests. On the front of the logo is the team name. Underneath the team name is 2021 in Roman numerals.
Slappy Gilmores – The Slappy Gilmores logo is an alligator head with the team name below it. The team name is at an angle to help it stand out from the other teams who have their name in their primary logo.
NPU/TKO Motorsports – NPU/TKO Motorsports logo has a star and circle shape. Inside the logo are the team name and a sports car silhouette. At the bottom of the logo is a banner with Washoe County Sheriff’s on it.
Reno Fire Hosers – The Reno Fire Hosers’ primary logo is a dragon with the team name in front of it.
Revision Brewing Company – The Revision Brewery logo is a shape with the team name in front of it. It is the same logo as the company logo.
Satans Gatekeepers – Satans Gatekeepers logo is a skull with horns in front of hockey sticks with tridents.
The Guardians – The Guardians logo is a battle-damaged spartan helmet infused with a hockey helmet.
Secondary Logos
Miller Lite – Miller Lite has an all-white version of its primary logo. The Miller Lite wordmark logo is a secondary logo as it is used almost as much as the primary logo. The Lite wordmark logo is also a secondary logo as it is interchangeable with the Miller Lite wordmark logo.
The Mustangs – The Mustangs secondary logos are recolors of the primary logo.
RT Janitorial – The RT Janitorial secondary logos are breakdowns of the primary logo. The first logo is the primary logo without the team name. The second logo is the rhino head.
Coors Light – The Coors Light secondary logo is a stacked Coors Light wordmark. The logo is both in red and grey and all white.
Reno Pond Hockey – The Reno Pond Hockey secondary logos are pretty much the same as the primary logo except the mountain in the background is an outline instead of a solid shape.
Reno Sriracha – The Reno Sriracha secondary logos are based on the Sriracha logo. The difference is that the team name font is different and there is no green in the design.
Cruz Construction – The Cruz Construction secondary logos are recolors of the primary logo in silver and white.
Tahoe Dawgs – The Tahoe Dawgs secondary logos are circle logos. One logo has mountains and trees with Tahoe in a script font. The other logo has the team name in the same font with a silhouette of Saint Bernard.
Tahoe Storm – The Tahoe Storm secondary logo is their primary logo with the colors flipped.
Desert Dogs – The Desert Dogs secondary logo is the coyote head from the primary logo.
Hot Shots – The Hot Shots secondary logo is the primary logo with a white outline.
Satans Gatekeepers – The Satans Gatekeepers secondary logo is the skull with horns from the primary logo.
The Guardians – The Guardians secondary logo is their primary logo with a white outline.
Alternate Logos
Miller Lite – For the Miller Lite alternate logos, some of them are elements from the primary logo. They have the Miller wordmark logo. They also have an m logo.
The Mustangs – The first two logos are horseshoe logos with wings. The following three logos are M’s with wings with mustang silhouettes. The next two logos are parts of the primary logo from in front of the horseshoe. the next three logos are the same logos from part of the primary logo with the throwback mustang silhouette below them. The next three logos are M’s with wings. the next two logos are mustang silhouettes. The last two logos are Nevada with a star where representing Reno.
Reno Gamblers – The first Reno Gamblers alternate logo has the poker chip from the primary logo and the team name with playing cards. The next one is the same logo without the poker chip. The next logo is a wordmark logo from the primary logo. The next three logos are poker chips with the team initials. Following that there are a bunch of wordmark and team initials logos. The Reno wordmark logos with circles around them are designed to look like a casino sign. The dice from the primary logo are also in there.
RT Janitorial – The RT Janitorial alternate logos are recolors of either the primary and secondary logos or throwback logos.
Swamp Donkeys – The first two Swamp Donkeys alternate logos are breakdowns of the primary logo. The third logo is the moose head from the primary logo in silver. The next two logos are wordmark logos. The next three moose heads are the “robomoose head” in different colors. The last two logos are the Swamp Donkeys abbreviation “SD” with the moose antlers from the “robomoose”.
Whisky Dekes – The first three Whisky Dekes alternate logos expand on the whisky barrel idea. There are some deer head variants. Then there are two Nevada logos with Whisky Dekes inside in a whisky-type font. Following that there are a bunch of wordmark logos.
Blue Moon – The first set of alternate logos for Blue Moon are alternate versions of the primary logo. The rest of the alternate logos are pieces from the primary logo.
Coors Banquet – The first set of Coors Banquet alternate logos are recolors or elements from the primary logo. The Second set of logos would have been introduced in the 90s as the team’s new branding. For this concept, they never stopped using those logos which is why they are alternates instead of throwbacks. The last set is the Coors rodeo logos.
Coors Light – These are all logos that Coors Light used during the timeframe where the primary logo was used. For this concept these logos would mostly see use on jerseys and merchandise.
Coors Light – The first two Coors Light alternate logos are “born in the rockies” logos. They are circle logos with the secondary logo in front of their mountain logo inside of a circle with “born in the rickies” and “est. 1978”. Then there is a wordmark logo. Then their is two logos with the secondary logo in front of their mountain logo. Then their are two “the silver bullet” wordmark logos. Lastly their is their mountain logo in a bunch of different colors.
Hop Valley – The first four Hop Valley alternate logos are recolors of the primary logo. The next four are wordmark logos. The next three are the hops logo. The next four are Stash Exotic logos. The next three logos are Aceball Ale logos. The last two logos are alternate throwback logos.
Doughboys – The first Doughboys alternate logo is a recolored Dough Boys Donuts logo in the hockey teams colors. The second logo is the primary logo with the donut shop logo replaced with a gothic D. The third logo is the donut shops alternate logo. The next logos are different colors of the gothic D. The second to last logo is their RPD logo. The last logo is a DB in a shield.
Q&D Construction – Q&D Construction has four alternate logos. The QD without the name, the QD with the name to the side, and just the name. Those logos are then put into 5 different colors. They also have a Reno wordmark but that is just for the city jersey.
Reno Pond Hockey – The first two Reno Pond Hockey alternate logos are remixes of the primary logo. Then there is just the mountain. Then there are some logos that add to the mountain. Then there are RNO and RPH logos. Reno Pond Hockey also has alternate throwback logos.
Reno Sriracha – The first set of Reno Sriracha alternate logos is the rooster from the primary and secondary logos in red and white. The next three logos have the team name arched with Chinese characters underneath it. The next six logos are just wordmark logos. Then there are two RS logos. The last two alternate logos are the Chinese characters for Reno.
Cruz Construction – The first four Cruz Construction alternate logos are Cruz with a big C and RUZ inside of it. They have a Battle Born wordmark logo. They have a circle logo with the Nevada flag in it. The last three logos are wordmark logos.
Mid-Ice Crisis – The first Mid-Ice Crisis alternate logo is the primary logo inside of a circle with the team name. The second logo is the same circle logo as the first alternate logo with the fox head replaced with player numbers. The next three logos are wordmark logos. The last four logos say “with love from Reno” which is only used on the city jersey.
Tahoe Dawgs – There are a lot of wordmark logos for the Tahoe Dawgs. There are also silhouettes of Lake Tahoe. There is a logo here inspired by Keep Tahoe Blue. There is also a T logo with Tahoe inside of it.
Tahoe Storm – The first two Tahoe Storm alternate logos are designed closely to the primary and secondary logo except they just say Tahoe. The next four logos are the primary, secondary, and first alternate logos in their alternate colors. The next six logos are wordmark logos. The next two logos are lightning bolts. Their last two logos are alternate throwback logos.
Desert Dogs – The first Desert Dogs alternate logo is a coyote head with a white instead of tan outline. The next two logos are inspired by the 2021 Tune Squad logo. The next two logos are the team name in script both with and without the coyote head. The next logo in an oval with the team name. Then in the second row there are NV (Nevada abbreviation) and Desert Dogs wordmark logos. Then there is a recolored coyote head from the primary logo just for use on the surge jersey. Then there is a tan version of the Burning Man logo that is for their city jersey. The bottom row is logos recolored in their alternate colors.
Hot Shots – The first set of Hot Shots alternate logos are variations of the primary logo. The next set of logos are all recolored versions of a shield with the flaming shot glass and team name inside of it. The next two logos are the flaming shot glass with outlines. The next two logos are the city of Sparks Nevada logo. The last logo is the flaming shot glass in navy.
Murder Hornets – The first Murder Hornets alternate logo is the hornet from the primary logo. The next logo is the hornet head from the hornet used in the primary logo. The next logo is the primary logo with the hornet replaced with the hornet head. The next three logos are wordmark logos. The next two logos are silhouettes of the hornet logo. The next logo is the hornet logo in front of a hexagon. The next logo is a wordmark logo. The next two logos are detailed hornets logos. The next two logos are MH abbreviation wordmark logos. The next five logos are alternate retro logos. The last two logos are city logos.
Slappy Gilmores – The first Slappy Gilmores alternate logo is the alligator head from the primary logo. The second alternate logo is the wordmark from the primary logo. The third logo is a G. The next three logos are for their City jersey. The last two logos were designed for the Surge jersey.
NPU/TKO Motorsports – The first three NPU/TKO Motorsport alternate logos are recolors of the primary logo. The next two logos are shield logos. The next logos are the car silhouette from the primary logo in different colors. The next two logos on the bottom row are for the City jersey. The last three logos are alternate throwback logos.
Reno Fire Hosers – The first Reno Fire Hosers alternate logo is the dragon from the primary logo. The second alternate logo is a Maltese Cross with the team name and an R for Reno. The third alternate logo is a Maltese Cross with the team name and a dragon head from the same dragon that’s in the primary logo. The fourth alternate logo is a Maltese Cross with the team name and Reno. The next two logos are for the City jersey. The last logo is the dragon from the primary logo in white.
Revision Brewing Company – The first two Revision Brewery alternate logos are logos that Revision Brewing Company uses. The six logos are alternate identity logos. The next two logos are alternate throwback logos. The next logo is a hops logo. The last logo is the Artown logo for their city jersey.
Satans Gatekeepers – Satans Gatekeepers first two alternate logos are pentagrams made out of hockey sticks. The third alternate logo is the trident hockey sticks from the primary logo recolored. The next logo is an old-school goalie hockey mask with horns. The next logo is a wordmark logo with the team name, horns and a devil tail. The next logo is a recolored version of the secondary logo. The last logo is from the Carson City Nevada flag.
The Guardians – The Guardians first alternate logo is the primary logo and team name integrated into a shield. The next logo is a recolored version of the shield logo. The next two logos are wordmark logos in black and silver. The next logo is a shield with NV and part of the state flag inside of it. The next logo is the Nevada National Guard logo. The last logo in the is an all black version of the primary logo.
Throwback Logos
Miller Lite – The first two Miller Lite throwback logos are based on logos used before 1974. The Mug logo is based on a logo for Meister Brau. Miller Lite used the rest of the logos from 1974 to 2014.
The Mustangs – The first three Mustangs logos were inspired by the movie Youngblood. The next two logos are mustang silhouettes from the first logos. The next two logos are M’s with wings. The next two logos are M’s. The next logo is the team name in script with the mustang silhouette below it. The last two logos are horseshoe logos.
Reno Gamblers – For this concept, the first three Reno Gamblers throwback logos would have been used for the majority of the teams history. The first logo would have been the teams first primary logo. It is a circle with card suits and a ring that has the team name. The next two logos replace the card suits with numbers. The next three logos put the suits on the outside ring with the team name. The first of those logos would have replaced the original primary logo. That logo has dice in the circle where the card suits were in the previous primary logo. These three logos would only been used for a couple of years before being replaced.
The next set of logos would have replaced the first six logos and would have been used until the current branding. This logo is Reno in four circles with Gamblers below it. The logo is meant to look like a casino sign or logo. There are multiple versions of this logo that would have been released over time. There are also Gamblers wordmark logos and R and G logos.
RT Janitorial – For this concept, the first two RT Janitorial throwback logos and the wordmarks below them are their original logos. The first logo is a silhouette of a rhino with the team name in front of it. The second logo is the head of the rhino silhouette. These logos would have been introduced in the late 80s. The next two logos replaced the original logos. The first logo in this set is a circle with the rhino head on top of it with the team name and nickname in the outer part of the circle. The second logo in this set gets rid of the outer circle, team name, and team nickname. This set would have been introduced in the mid to late 1990’s. The rhino head design introduced in this set would continue to see use even in the current branding. The last two logos are recolors and slight alterations of the second set of logos. These logos would have been introduced in the mid to late 2000s. This set would introduce new team colors.
Swamp Donkeys – For this concept, the first two Swamp Donkeys throwback logos would be their original logos. For the next set of logos, the team changed their colors to red, white, and blue. The first logo in the second set would have been the primary logo. The next ten logos round out this set. The next three circle logos would have replaced the last set in this concept. The first logo in this set would have been the primary logo. Following the third set of logos, they changed their colors. The blue circle logo would have been the primary logo. The following three logos round out the set. The next four logos would have been introduced in the 90s. The moose head with the banner would have been the primary logo. This set would have replaced the last set.
The next six logos make up the sixth set. This set would have been introduced in the 2000s to replace the last set of logos. This would have been the first introduction of “robomoose”. The first logo shown in this set would have been the primary logo. Following the 2000s logos set the Swamp Donkeys would have fully embraced the “robomoose” making it their only logo around the early 2010s. The blue “robomoose” would have been the primary logo. this would have been replaced by the current logos.
Whisky Dekes – For this concept, the Whisky Dekes first logo was inspired by the Chicago Stags. The Rest of the blue and gold logos are inspired by the Minneapolis Lakers. The seventh logo would have been their second primary logo for this concept. The next logo set would have started with the WD circle logo. The primary logo has a WD inside of a circle with its name below it. That and the next four logos would have been their third set of logos. The first deer head logo and the next eight logos would have all been in the same set. The deer head logo with the team name would have been their fourth primary.
The purple and green logos are one logo set. The primary logo is a deer head with the team name below it all in front of a triangle. The last set before the current set is the green and red logos. It is the same deer head. The primary logo is also slightly modified.
Blue Moon – The first Blue Moon throwback logo is the original Blue Moon logo. For this concept, it would have been their first logo. The next logo was introduced by Blue Moon in 2001. For this concept, Blue Moon would have adopted it as well as all of the other throwback logos the same year.
Coors Banquet – Coors was founded in 1873. For this concept Coors Banquet has been in the league since the league was founded. The first two logos are AC. Coors Banquet was Adolph Coors, named after their founder. For this concept that name was eventually dropped and the team was just known as Coors until the 1970s when Coors split into Coors Banquet and Coors Light. The four C logos would have been used when the team was just named Coors.
Coors Light – Coors Light was introduced in 1978 to compete with Miller Lite. For this concept, the first Coors Light throwback logo would have been the team’s first logo. All of these logos would have been their primary and only logos. Coors Light wouldn’t have had any secondary or alternate logos until their current branding.
Hop Valley – Hop Valley was founded in 2009. The first throwback logo would have been the first primary logo for Hop Valley. The rest of Hop Valleys throwback logos would have all been introduced at the same time. They would have seen use from 2009 to 2012. In 2012 both the hockey team and Hop Valley Brewing Co. would have switched to the current logos.
Doughboys – The first three throwback logos are the Doughboys original logos. They would have only been briefly used before the team adopted their next logo set. Their second logo set is the next seven logos. They followed that up with the next five logos. The next eight wardmark logos would have been used throughout their first brand eras. The next would have been their fourth primary logo. That logo would have been introduced in the early to mid 90s. The next logos would have been part of that set. The next five logos would have been introduced in the early 2000s as alternate logos. They wouldn’t have replaced the fourth set of logos. The last three logos would have been introduced with the Doughboys Donuts partnership in 2009.
Q&D Construction – For this concept, Q&D Construction has been in the RIAL since the company’s inception in 1964. The first two logos are the teams original logos. The third logo was introduced in the early 70’s and replaced the original logos. in the early 80s the fourth logo replaced the third logo. By the late 80’s the team had transitioned back to using the original logos. The original logos would have then been used up until the teams current branding. The last five logos are from Q&D Construction’s 50th anniversary in 2014. They would have only been used in 2014 as secondary and alternate logos.
Reno Sriracha – Huy Fong Foods has been around since 1980. For this concept, Reno Sriracha has been around for the same time. The current primary logo, secondary logos, and the first two alternate logos were their original logos. They changed their logos in the late 80s early 90s and they went back to their original logos in the mid to late 2000s.
The first throwback logo would have been the teams second ever primary logo. The logo is a circle with a drop of hot sauce. Inside of the circle it says Sriracha in warped text. Above the circle it says Reno in arched text. The next two logos would have been secondary logos used at the same time. The next three logos would have been alternate logos that finish off this set of logos. The next logo would have been their third primary logo. The next six logos would have been alternate logos. The next logo remixed the logo by adding Reno to it. The next logo is another remix of the primary logo. It says Sriracha in Chinese instead of english. The following logo replaces Sriracha with Reno Sriracha in Chinese. The last four logos are Reno Sriracha wordmark logos in Chinese.
Cruz Construction – For this concept, Cruz Construction has been around since the early 1960s. The first nineteen throwback logos would have been used from the early 60s all the way up to the late 1980s. The first logo would have been used the most, but they would not have had a primary logo. In the early 90s Cruz Construction would have rebranded. The first five logos on the third row would have been that rebrand. The first double C logo with the circle around it would have been their primary logo. Just a few years later in the mid 90s would rebrand again. The last six logos would have been their mid 90s rebrand. The mid to late 2000s saw another rebrand. The next twenty logos are this branding. They rebranded again in the mid 2010s. The last seven logos would be that branding.
Mid-Ice Crisis – For this concept, Mid-Ice Crisis has been around since the mid-1990s. The first five logos are their original branding. The first logo is the original primary logo. In the early 2000s, Mid-Ice Crisis rebranded. The next three logos are that branding. In the mid to late 2000s, they would rebrand again. The next six logos are that rebrand. In the mid-2010s, Mid-Ice Crisis rebranded again. The last five logos are that rebrand.
Tahoe Dawgs – The Tahoe Dawgs started in the early 90s. For this concept, the first six throwback logos would have been their original branding. The first logo would have been their primary logo. The Tahoe Dawgs rebranded in the mid to late 90s. The next six logos would have been that branding. The first of those logos would have been their primary logo during that time. The last eight logos are part of their mid to late 2000s rebrand.
Desert Dogs – The first eleven Desert Dogs throwback logos are their original branding. It would have been introduced in the mid to late 90s. In the mid to late 2000s they rebranded. The next seven logos would have been a part of that rebrand. In the mid 2010s, they rebranded again. The last fourteen logos are that rebrand.
Hot Shots –
The first two Hot Shots throwback logos would have been the Hot Shots original primary and secondary logos. The primary logo has the team name in front of flames with a hockey stick on the bottom. The secondary logo is the primary logo with a white outline. Just like the current secondary logo this would have been done for applications on dark backgrounds. The next three logos are a hockey puck with flames. The next three logos are HS with flames. The HS stands for hot shots. The flames are on the side of the logo. The other two logos in this set are Hot Shots wordmark logos. This would have replaced the first set of logos. The next logo was their third primary logo. It has a flying hockey puck behind the team name. Inside the O in Shots is a flame. The other logo in this set is the same logo but without the flying hockey puck. The last four logos are the last set.
Slappy Gilmores – The first Slappy Gilmores throwback logo is a G inside of a circle. For this concept, the first logo would have been their original primary logo introduced in the mid-90s. The next two logos are recolored versions of the primary logo. The next four logos are wordmark logos. The next two logos are an alligator with the team name below them. The next logo is a circle logo with the primary logo inside of a gold wreath with a crown. The next logo on the bottom row is an updated version of the first primary logo. For this concept in the mid to late 2000s Slappy Gilmores would have rebranded. The next logo is a green outline of a G. The next two logos are wordmark logos. The last logo is a stylized version of the primary logo.
NPU/TKO Motorsports – NPU/TKO Motorsports has been around since the mid to late 2000s. Up until their current branding they have had one logo. That logo is a wordmark logo. Over the years it changed colors once.
Reno Fire Hosers – The Reno Fire Hosers have three sets of throwback logos. They have changed their colors once. They are one of the oldest teams in the league. The first logo was their original primary logo. It is a circle with the team name and abbreviation. The other two logos in this set are wordmark logos. The next four logos are their first rebrand. The last seven logos are from their second rebrand.
Satans Gatekeepers – The first four Satans Gatekeepers throwback logos are their original logos. The next two logos are their first rebrand. The next two are their second rebrand. The next five are their third rebrand. The last five logos are their fourth rebrand.
The Guardians – The Guardians first throwback logo is a spartan helmet with Nevada and a spear behind it. The second logo is the same logo without the spear. The third logo is an image of a spartan with the team name inside of a shield. The fourth logo is a spartan helmet with the team name inside of a shield. The fifth logo in the the same with a white outline. The next two logos are wordmark logos. The Guardians had three different branding changes in their first three years.
The next two logos are spartan helmets in black and silver. The next two logos are monogram logos. The next two logos are script wordmark logos. This set of logos would have been part of an 80s rebrand.
The next logo is a spartan helmet with the team name inside of a shield. The next logo is the same with a white outline. The next two logos are wordmark logos. This would have been part of a mid-90s rebrand.
The next logo is a spartan helmet inside of a shield with a spear in the background. The next logo is the same logo without the spear. The next two logos are the spartan helmets from the last two logos. The last two logos are wordmark logos. This would have been part of a mid to late 2000s rebrand.
Hop Valley, Reno Pond Hockey, Tahoe Storm, Murder Hornets, NPU/TKO Motorsports, and Revision Brewery all have alternate throwback logos. This is because these teams were not around in the 90s. Reno Pond Hockey, Tahoe Storm, Murder Hornets, and Revision Brewery don’t have any throwback logos. Reno Pond Hockey still uses their original branding from 2019. Tahoe Storm and Murder Hornets are expansion teams so they are completely new. Revision Brewery still use their original branding from 2015. Future teams in this concept will mostly use alternate throwback logos. Not every team but most.

Stats
