I am back with another American Hockey League event concept. Today I have the fourth and final game in the AHL Stadium Series. For this game, the West Coast Divisions San Jose Barracudas host the Abbotsford Canucks. The game is at Paypal Park in San Jose, California. For this concept, the game would be on February 25th, 2023.

The logo is a shield with the city skyline, event name, hosting location, and year. It has the AHL logo on it. The logo is the colors of the AHL. It has the chromed-out look. It is designed in the 2023 AHL Stadium Series template that I created for this concept like the 2023 AHL Stadium Series Montreal, the 2023 AHL Stadium Series Colorado State, and the 2023 AHL Stadium Series Lehigh Valley.

The first of the other two logos for this event replaces the skyline with the stadium logo. The other logo is a matchup logo.

These are the team logos for the event. The main San Jose logo is a chrome version of the SJ alternate logo. Their other logo is the barracuda from the primary logo. The main Abbotsford logo is a chrome version of an unused Vancouver Canucks logo. The logo is flipped so instead of being a V and A c it is an A and a C. Their other logo is a chrome version of their C hockey stick logo.

The San Jose jersey is black, teal, silver, and chrome. On the front is the chrome SJ logo. On the shoulder is the chrome barracuda. On the collar, it says San Jose. The Abbotsford jersey is white, blue, green, and chrome. It has the chrome AC logo on the front. On the shoulder is the chrome C logo. On the collar it says Abbotsford. Both jerseys have the event logo on their shoulder.

In this concept, the West Coast Division AHL Stadium Series game is at the 18,000-capacity PayPal Park. The stadium is home to the San Jose Earthquakes of the MLS. This is the fourth Major League Soccer stadium to be used as an outdoor venue in this concept. PayPal Park fits less than only 500 more people than the SAP Center. SAP Center is the former home of the San Jose Barracuda and is the current home of their parent club the San Jose Sharks. PayPal Park does fit 13,800 more people than Tech CU Arena which is the current home of the San Jose Barracuda. Having the second smallest arena in the AHL with a 4,200 capacity and currently being last in the AHL in total and average attendance (reportedly averaging under half capacity) it is hard to tell if they would be able to sell out this game. For this concept, it would have been a push by PayPal to get this game after securing the name rights to the stadium. I think they would have wanted an NHL game but would have had to settle for an AHL game.
