2022 AHL Concept

Chicago Wolves | AHL Concept Part Twentyone

Next up in my American Hockey League concept series is the Chicago Wolves. They are the primary affiliate of the Carolina Hurricanes. They play in the 16,692-seat Allstate Arena. Chicago has a population of 2.69 million. The Chicago Wolves entered the AHL in 2001 as one of the teams that came over after the IHL folded. The Chicago Wolves have been around since 1994.

For this concept, the Chicago Wolves play in the AHL’s World Division in the Eastern Conference. The other teams in the World Division are The Bridgeport Islanders, the Cleveland Monsters, the Hartford Wolf Pack, the Hershey Bears, the Lehigh Valley Phantoms, the Utica Comets, and the Wilks-Berre/Scranton Penguins.

The Chicago Wolves were also in the AHL Outdoors NC State game.
