hockey Qatar 2022

Group E | Qatar 2022 Ice Hockey Concept

I’m here with Group E concepts for Qatar 2022. In my last post, I showed off my concepts for Group D. In my first post, I talked about the event itself. I have also talked about my concepts for Group A, Group B, and Group C. Costa Rica, Germany, Japan, and Spain are in Group D. Costa Rica are not in the IIHF. They also do not have any leagues. Germany is ranked 9th by the IIHF. Deutsche Eishockey Liga or just DEL is the top German pro league. Japan is ranked 25th by the IIHF. Japan has pro teams in the Asia League Ice Hockey. Spain is ranked 32nd by the IIHF. Spain has the Liga Nacional de Hockey Hielo as their pro league.

In this concept, the idea is that most countries would have hockey match their already existing soccer system if hockey is not already established in their county.

Group E is Costa Rica, Germany, Japan, and Spain. Costa Rica is the only team that does not compete in the International Ice Hockey Federation. In this concept, Germany, Japan, and Spain would keep their current hockey systems. Costa Rica would model its hockey system after its football league system.

Costa Rica is sponsored by New Balance. New Balance does make hockey jerseys. They are mainly for the NCAA. I modeled their template after the Boston College hockey jerseys. I didn’t modify their logo. Their colors are red, white, blue, and gold. They have a red and a white jersey. The jerseys are fairly basic.

Germany is sponsored by Adidas. The German colors are red, black, and gold. I didn’t modify their logo. They have a red and a white jersey. The red jersey has a pattern inspired by the pattern on their red soccer jersey. On the collar is the German flag.

Japan is sponsored by Adidas. Their colors are red, white, black, gold, and blue. I didn’t modify their logo. They have a blue jersey and a white jersey. Both of the patterns on their jerseys are designed after the patterns on their soccer jerseys. On the collar of both jerseys is the Japan flag.

Spain is sponsored by Adidas. Their colors are red, yellow, and blue. I did not modify their logo. They have a red and a white jersey. The pattern on their blue jersey is designed to match the pattern on their soccer jersey. The sleeve stripe pattern is inspired by the collar on their red jersey. The Spain flag is on their collar.

Here is what Group E looks like. The blue Spain jersey is my favorite. #1 rank is Spain. #2 rank is Germany. #3 rank is Japan. #4 rank is Costa Rica.

The jersey matchups are based on Qatar 2022 kit matchup information from Footy Headlines. Australia will wear both of their jerseys. Denmark will wear their red and white jerseys. France will only wear their blue jersey. Tunisia will only wear their white jersey.
